Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide surveillance by reviewing the computer monitor(s) inside the security station.
• During times of entry and exit of vehicles, recording on the traffic log, the time, name of the person or persons and company; also opening and closing of the security gate.
• Answer telephone calls relating to:
  • Directions to and from the facility
  • Announcing visitors to the management staff
• Administer drug tests to employment candidates.
• Assist the management staff in incidents involving employees, visitors, vendors and employment candidates.
• Monitor all activity on the property during the shift; make property inspections and rounds as necessary and at scheduled times during the shift.
• First responder duties within the facility grounds:
  • EMT experience concerning first aide, CPR and minor injury assistance
• Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions
• Ability to establish working relationships with other employees and supervisors
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Acceptable attendance, following the established Company policies
• Additional tasks and duties as assigned, to support and improve the overall team operations

Work Conditions:

• Environment is that of a heavy industrial worksite
• Outdoor elements are a factor. Extreme weather conditions such as heat and cold
• Exposure to air particles such as dust and chemicals
• Exposure to loud, penetrating noises in some work areas
• Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times such as, metatarsal boots, ear plugs/ear muffs, safety glasses, long sleeved shirts and pants, hard hats and respirator use

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; however, is not required
• Previous work experience as EMT or in security is preferred
• Basic computer skills are required
