Designer

The Designer will be responsible for generating shop and production drawings using 2D and 3D software, along with creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and CNC programs for steel fabrication projects. This role will involve mentoring under the Lead Designer to gain expertise in creating and implementing offline programming.
Industrial Welder

Fabricates and repairs material by using the appropriate welding processes and techniques in the vertical, horizontal and overhead positions. Welding is done utilizing the SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (flux-core) and SAW (submerged arc) processes when necessary as called out by the drawing.

Measure and layout larger more complex subassemblies typically found at the erection area in shop #5, sterns, rake assembly and rake attachment to barge. Direct and/or guide a tacker/welder in placing tack welds as dictated by the drawing or good assembly practices all in conformance with the drawing. Check for fairness and squareness of the barge subassemblies as they are erected by the use of piano wire, spreader beams, etc., using proper reference points as dictated by the drawing

Participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls of varying complexity. Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery as assigned to the maintenance team by the plant manager or other supervisor as needed.
